Do I need to book online?While we do take walk-ins and last-minute flight bookings, we strongly suggest you book your flight as far in advance as possible. We will always make every effort to accommodate your but cannot guarantee a flight without a reservation. For same day bookings please call the Planes of Fame Air Museum at 909-597-3722.

If I'm not a pilot, can I still book a flight experience?"Yes. Passengers do not contol the aircraft and simply enjoy the ride!

What should I bring and wear?No special equipement is needed, you will be provided with a headset for communication during the flight. Wear comfortable clothing and closed toed shoes. We will have flightsuits available if you would like to wear one. We recommend wearing sunglasses and drink plenty of water.

How early should I arrive before the scheduled flight?Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled flight. If you are not familiar with the airport, you may want to allow some extra time before your fligth departure time. There is another air museum located at Chino Airport and sometimes guests end up at the wrong location, please follow the signs to Planes of Fame Air Museum. Please see our Policies Page if you are late or have missed your flight.

What happens on a typical flight?Your experience begins when you arrive at Planes of Fame Air Museum at check in time. We will hand out and collect your release forms and provide your rental flight suit if desired. Then you'll suite up and proceed to the theater for a pre-flight safety briefing. At that point, we'll escort you out to the aircraft for a final orientation before climbing in for your flight. Your aircraft will start up on the museum ramp so any guests you bring with you will be able to see the engine start and aircraft taxiing out for take off. The length of your flight is approximately 20 minutes take off to landing and your flight path depends on current conditions the day of your flight. Once back on the ground, you will taxi back to the museum and the exit the aircraft. You'll then be given time to take photos before being escorted back to the lobby to turn in your flight suit and receive your flight certificate.

Can I bring my camera?Yes. Please feel free to take photos and video of your experience.

Should I tip my pilot?If you feel your pilot has done a great job, please feel free to make a donation to the Planes of Fame Air Museum at checkout. Pilots do not accept tips directly. Donations are always apprciated but never expected.
